Our story

Keur Serigne Saliou

Keur means "house" in Wolof. Sene Fast Food is the house of Serigne Saliou: a family kitchen that opened on West 116th Street in May 2025.

It started with a simple idea. Little Senegal has always had people who miss the food of home, and plenty of neighbors who never tasted it. We wanted one place where both could sit down to the same plate of thiebou dienne.

Talla Sylla and his wife run the restaurant together. The kitchen cooks two lunch plates a day on a fixed weekly rotation, lights the grill in the evening for dibi, and opens at 8:30 AM for breakfast sandwiches and Café Touba.

You'll find us inside the community center building at 151 W 116th Street. There's no storefront on the sidewalk, so the people who find us usually heard about us from someone who already eats here.

Our mission

Serve Senegalese home cooking in Harlem the way it is made at home, at a fair price, from morning until midnight.

What we promise

A hot plate, a generous portion and a warm welcome, whether it's your first visit or your hundredth.

Teranga

Hospitality

Senegal's word for welcoming guests. Everyone who walks in is treated as family.

Dëgg

The real recipe

No shortcuts on the classics. Thiebou dienne is cooked the long way, every day it's on.

Yërmande

Generosity

Full plates and fair prices. Nobody should leave hungry.

Mbokk

Community

We cook inside a community center, screen the big matches and know our regulars by name.

Why us

Most places pick one meal. We do all three: Senegalese breakfast in the morning, a rotating plate of the day at lunch and the grill at night, all from one family kitchen.
